Privacy
RevolverMaps2 shows website owners roughly where their visitors come from. This page explains what that involves.
Visitors to sites with a globe
When a page with a RevolverMaps2 globe loads, your browser sends us the page address and your IP address. We use the IP address once to estimate your city and country, then store only a one-way hash of it so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one. The IP address itself is never saved.
We keep the estimated city, country, map coordinates, the number of page views, and the first and last time of your visit. The site owner can see these as pins and totals, never as individual people. We don't set cookies on visitors and we don't sell or share this data.
Account holders
We store your email address and a securely hashed password, plus the domains you add. Deleting a globe deletes all of its visitor records.
Location data
City-level locations come from an IP geolocation database stored on our own server. They're approximate and can be wrong, especially for mobile networks and VPNs.
